History: Child of the High Ones, he was born soon after the Palace crashed, and remembers the long journey south very well. Sahti was his first Recognized mate, and they fell in love and became lifemates. They have both Recognized others occasionally, but they always remain with each other. He is the second Crown to his people; his father Ilvolen, the first Crown, was one of the first mer-elves. Not long into his reign, his father was killed by a shark. Vohl took over then, and with his lifemate, has ruled ever since. Several decades ago he Recognized again, this time to his lifemate's closest friend, Shalin. It was an unexpected- and unwelcome- event. He views Shalin as cold and cynical, and is both discomfited and repelled by her. Her amusement at his response and his "weak" nature didn't help any. They answered Recognition and had a daughter, Lileo, and have avoided each other as much as possible since.

Personality: Wise and intelligent, his people often come to him for advice or personal problems. He is soft-spoken, prefering to let Sahti do the talking unless he's giving advice, or the matter is important. His lifemate can twist him around her little finger. He makes a benevolent father-figure to his people. Always seems happy, to the extent that others wonder sometimes if he's fully aware of what's going on.
